VUDU HD Movies Review for PS3

Gaming consoles aren't strangers to movies and TV shows. For the PS3, there were two big titles before VUDU: Netflix and Hulu Plus. However, to me, VUDU really stands out, as it should to every PS3 owner. Why everyone? Well, for one thing, the first movie rental is on the house.
If you download VUDU from the PlayStation Store, you will get $5.99 in your VUDU account. You can watch some old movies, or one recent one. The qualities and prices for most movies are: HDX - $5.99, HD - $4.99, and SD - $3.99. VUDU recommended I watch in HD, and it was a great recommendation, in HD it didn't have to buffer one single time. They gave me a two-minute free preview of HDX so I could decide if that was the right choice or not. It had to buffer quite a bit, and I didn't want to wait any longer to watch The Expendables.
VUDU has a great selection of movies and TV shows and ranks them well. For example, Grown Ups was the #1 most rented movie of the weekend. Followed by Scott Pilgrim vs The World
, and the The Expendables. The list continues, but the top three should give you the right idea. After renting a movie, you have 30 days to start watching it, and then 24 hours after you start it to finish it.
What separates VUDU from its rivals is my favorite part of the story: No monthly payments. It is completely pay as you go. This works out well for me because if there's a movie I want to see badly enough, I'll see it in a theater. If there's a movie I want to see, but aren't dying to, I'll wait and buy it on DVD after a few weeks. Renting them with VUDU may change my mind on that part of my plan.
Anyway, that's about all there is to say about VUDU. If you rent movies often, stay away. If you seldom rent movies, use the service. Now then, what are you waiting for? Try out the service now and claim your free rental. If you have a good Internet connection VUDU won't disappoint you!
