Marvel Pinball: Vengeance and Virtue Pack Review

Marvel Pinball is back with four new tables for all of your comic book hero pinball needs. These new tables include: X-Men, Thor, Moon Knight, and Ghost Rider. I’m not sure what more I can say on top of my friend Ryan’s review, but I’ll give it a shot.
My favorite of the four tables is X-Men. X-Men is very creative in the use of its characters. One thing I didn’t see coming was Magneto controlling Phoenix, and Cyclops trying to put a stop to it. The game changed as a new ball for each of the two characters was added to the table, each using different colors to represent the character.
Thor was my second favorite in the pack. There were several mini games hidden in this table. By entering a certain point on the table, you would be given the option to select a mission. Using L1 and R1, you could scroll through each mission and then select one. Then, exciting scenarios would play out. It sure is a great way to keep pinball interesting!
Third best, for me, goes to Moon Knight. I know little to nothing about the comics, so I learned a lot about the series through this table. Moreover, I learned how much fun pinball can be. Just like in Thor, there are some great mini games to activate. Oh, and it’s great seeing Moon Knight put his sidekick in his place.
It’s a shame I have to call Ghost Rider my least favorite in the pack. To be honest, there really wasn’t a single table I didn’t enjoy in this whole pack. Ghost Rider just seemed to have the least amount of hidden bonuses, and the table wasn’t as interesting as the other three.
I think the last time I was truly interested in pinball was when I had time to burn and a PC in front of me. Why burn coins at an arcade when you have all the tries in the world on your computer? But, Solitaire and other games would pull you away from pinball. That’s fine, but Marvel Pinball is just something else! They pack in all of the fun of pinball with mini games, nice looks, and more. Sure, you could be out playing some $60 disc games, but it’s always nice to slow down and go back to the basics. Give Marvel Pinball and its new Vengeance and Virtue Pack a chance. You won’t regret the purchase.
