Walking Dead Episode 2: Starved for Help Review

Telltale games has given gamers another fantastic point and click adventure with their second episode of the Walking Dead. For those gamers who didn't play the first game there is a nice recap of the events from the first one near the start of the next episode. Gamers should be able to finish it in 4-6 hours, but there is at least one reason gamers may enjoy this episode more.
Gamers will be back in Lee’s shoes accompanying the motley crew of survivors. Somehow, someway, the group ends up at a local dairy with a family of survivors after departing the hotel. But things aren’t always as they seem. The moral choices are back in the game. Who gets what supplies? Do I kill or leave them? Who’s side do I take and how will this affect the overall game? Overall, I felt this episode was more action packed. It also had more twists and surprises. Not to spoil too much, a few more characters gamers may have loved or hated from the first episode will most likely die. But then again this depends on what sort of decisions the players make.
Some of the choices in Starved for Help are tough to make. This time around I felt more of the choices were black and white. Good or bad, the decisions players choose to make this time around will have more of an overall impact on the rest of the game, so it seems. Gamers will have to straddle the line between playing the role of the Lee, the cautious, optimistic, doesn’t take-sides good guy or Lee, the guy who will do anything to protect the group and try to survive. Don’t worry, there is plenty of time in the game to mix and match the choices. And there is enough content to play through it again.
I felt like the second episode flowed better. I felt like there was less dialogue and the story moved along better. There were plenty of action scenes. For fans of the comic series, the rest of the game looks to be fantastic. If I were to score this game, I would say it's easily a 9/10. If as a gamer you want more of the Walking Dead, the full game is $24.99 on Amazon for PC and $18 for Mac. It also that price on consoles as well and that has all four episodes. I highly recommend the books over the TV Show
. Here are a few
of the comics and graphic novels to get fans of the game started.
