Gaming On The Cheap - Android Games

Juggling full time school with a full time job as well as family life can sometimes leave very little time for leisurely game playing time. That's been the case for me over the past couple weeks, I've played literally 2 hours of Portal 2 co-op and that's it. It's times like these that it's nice to have bite-sized games to play on the go, really that's what the games on iDevices and smartphones are for, right? These are the Android games I've been investing what little time I have in on breaks or in between errands, and since I'm super cheap these are all free:
Angry Birds series: Angry Birds was, as you are all aware, quite the sensation not too long ago in the Apple App Store and again made a splash when it came out for free in the Android Market. The whole series, Angry Birds, Seasons, and Rio, are available for free and if you never got the chance to play them or lacked the desire then you should try giving them a chance because, honestly what do you have to lose? Besides a few minutes here and there that is…
Slice It: Another fairly popular iGame that made it's way over to Android at the sweet price of free. Chopping up geometric shapes into equally sized pieces has never been so much fun, unless it was with cheesecake. I think grades would soar if this was the method adopted by schools to teach all aspects of math.
TapFish: This virtual fish tank is strangely riveting and almost more appealing than owning real fish… it might have something to do with the fact that a virtual fish tank doesn't smell but combining a fish tank with a collecting/breeding twist also has something to do with it I'm sure.
Droid Odyssey: Though the title screen proclaims this is a beta version it feels like a very well put together platformer. The controls feel a little loose but intentionally so, and the premise of guiding a robot from point A to point B, trying to grab as many coins as you can along the way, is simple and not entirely original. But for the price of free, who cares?
Pig Rush: You control a jumping pig that is constantly running from left to right. You click and he jumps. Click twice and he double jumps. Simplicity to a 'T'. Also slightly addictive.
