Fit to Game 2.1

I get knocked down, but I get up again...

I knew a week like this would come and I was afraid that I would lie. But in the end, this is a lesson for any closet followers, trying to use my attempt at health for encouragement.

I gained a pound over the last week. :/ I did not have one solitary second to exercise. It's hard to add a new habit into a busy lifestyle: one five year old, one upcoming baby due in May (now THAT will be a few interesting articles in this series), my main job, adding a short part-time job for extra cash for when the baby gets here AND I am supposed to exercise???

But that's just it, this is the purpose of accountability. When you get knocked down, you're supposed to get back up. Of course it is easier when there's someone there to hold your hand.

I could give up right now. But I see the future. I see health. I also see games that WORK. I didn't get to game exercise one bit, not even one Dance Central song. Yet, when I get to do them, even not regularly, they are if anything helping my metabolism and I've shaved off about 13 pounds since the beginning, which isn't half bad.

So catch up with me next week, where I can hopefully tell you I got rid of that pound I found again.

(By the way, to keep these articles sane, I'll be addressing them like the above title: Month 2, Week 1 = 2.1)

Losing 13 lbs is awesome. Don't get discouraged by gaining a lb. It's only natural to have slight gains when losing weight. It's probably only water weight anyway.

I fully understand what you're saying about finding the time to work out. That's my big excuse right now. But I have to find the time, even if that means waking up even earlier than I already do.
