Tripwire Interactive has given out the release date for their new iteration of a WWII shooter. Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad will be released on August 30th, 2011 for $39.99 (MSRP). The game will see a simultaneous release worldwide through Steam and other digital outlets along with retail stores.
Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad looks to take the FPS genre to the next level with unique and innovative gameplay elements. First person cover, first person tank warfare and new multiplayer modes are all going to be included. New weaponry will come along with all this, complete with systems with full ballistics and supression of enemies.
Tripwire has also chosen to include the PunkBuster Anti-Cheat system for their multiplayer games. This is a system with a rich history, it's most popular for it's use in games such as Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
