Can't Get Your Free PSN Games? Read This

The PS Store is back up and running! If you've run into error code 8010D36 like I have, that means that the servers are too busy to handle your request right now. What option do you have besides backing out and trying again, over and over and over? And when you finally get in and start downloading that Free Game #1 what happens? That aggravating error code pops up and you don't get to download. But that's ok because you can just try again right? Back to the Welcome Back storefront and click on… wait, where did the Free Game go? And it's not listed in my transactions list? What kind of crap is this?

This just happened to me and after perusing the interwebs forums I've discovered many people have been having the same issue. So what's the solution? Thanks to GoozerNation writer Cole, I have the answer. Follow these steps and you'll be able get that free game that moments ago was denied you: Go to Account Management and scroll down to Transaction Management. From there open up the Services List where you will find SCEA Promotion, most likely at the top of the list, selecting that will show Welcome Back: Free PS3 Game 1. Once you click X you will be able to select the content you'd like to download for your Free Game. Of course you'll probably still get many error codes while attempting this. Good luck and it's great to have the Store back up.
