Another Mass Effect Debacle

Many fans have been in all out riot mode since the launch of Bioware's Mass Effect 3 a couple of weeks ago. Petitions have been written, complaints have been filed, and of course "you suck" tweets have been launched all directed at Bioware. Without even having finished the campaign, I've run into an issue of my own with Mass Effect 3 that has EA and Bioware in my dog house.
EA and Bioware have become some of the best in the business at cross-platform promotion and tie-ins. Mass Effect 3 has two companion apps on the iOS, Infiltrator and Datapad, both of which claim that they will enrich the single player campaign by adding to the Galactic Readiness rating. Having put significant time into both of them, it became apparent to me that my achievements in those apps were not being carried over into my Xbox 360 Mass Effect 3 game. Given it's not the most important shortcoming of the Mass Effect 3 launch, this has certainly been a frustration to me, as I expected some benefit of having played these different apps.
Since then I've jumped through more hoops than a few Galaxy at War percentage points are worth, but I wanted to get to the bottom of the problem, in hopes of being able to share a solution in this here write up. Alas, no solution has yet been found. I've sent e-mails to EA and Bioware customer support, tweeted at notable EA and Bioware accounts, and even used the live chat feature that is available through Origin help. None of these attempts have come to fruition. The one suggestion I got was to download the Skate 3 demo and then insert my e-mail address to link to an EA account at the beginning of a multiplayer match. For some reason, I wasn't totally surprised when this backdoor method didn't work either. I still have yet to find a solution to this problem, so if you've considered purchasing Mass Effect Infiltrator (at a whopping seven bucks might I add) in hopes of upping your Galactic Readiness while you're on the go, I'd say you should probably hold off. If you've got a way around this problem, please let us know in the comments.
