Silent Hill HD Collection Delayed for the Sixth Time

Silent Hill HD CollectionBack when the Silent Hill HD Collection was first announced as an exclusive collection for the PS3 releasing in September/October of 2011 I was psyched.  The only Silent Hill titles I had played were the original and 4, and every time I would get ready to buy 2 I would force myself to wait.  A game this popular has to get an HD remake soon, and then I will have some great, HD frights.   As it would happen, this happened the day the collection was announced, which is why I remember this story so well.  But now, we have yet another delay to wait on.

The original release date was Sep/Oct, for the PS3.  That quickly changed to December when the exclusive compilation went multiplatform for the 360.  Then, we were forced into the new year with the release date scheduled as January 24th.  And then February.  And then March 6th.  Now, March 20th.  Come on Konami, this is getting way out of hand.

I personally have been waiting for this collection feverishly for half a year.  Six months of delays people!  The hype I have had for this has been slowly dying out ever since.  When March 20th comes around, great, I will pick it up.  That is, if it doesn’t get delayed another three or four times.

The Silent Hill HD Collection will be hitting shelves (hopefully) on March 20th, 2012 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

I have never played any of the Silent Hill games but hearing it was getting a HD version got me psyched because I have only heard great things about them. This is hurtful at this point though. I guess I can wait the extra month.
