With the release of Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City right around the corner there is still time to pre-order. The biggest question is where should gamers pre-order Raccoon City from? Thank goodness Goozernation has a break down of the options.
It looks like Best Buy, Gamestop, and Amazon all have similar bonuses for pre-ordering. All three have the U.S. Costume Pack which includes alternate costumes for Vector, Lupo, Spectre, Four Eyes, and Beltway. Best Buy is offering the Elite Weapons Pack as well and this includes the Perforator and the Combat SMG. Gamestop is offering the Power Weapons Pack which has the Anti-Material Rifle and Combat Shotgun. Amazon matches both of them with the Renegade Weapon Pack and this includes the machine pistol and the cowboy shotgun. Now the costumes and the weapons sound like they could be a lot of fun. I really wish there was more being offered, say a $20 credit. Past AAA titles like LA Noire and Batman Arkham City had some great multi store pre-order bonuses which made it tough to pick where to purchase the game at.
Skip the costumes and weapons, I’m sure they will come out as DLC soon enough. The Capcom store has the greatest pre-order bonus for Operation Raccoon City. Drumroll, and the bonus is a “Welcome to Raccoon City” sign. The sign is made of metal and is 18” x 10” and there were only 1000 pieces made world wide. This would look great in an office or in a man-cave and it looks to be a collector's item. The sign would go perfectly with my giant Resident Evil Nemesis cardboard cutout. If you haven’t decided on a pre-order yet there is still time. Ask yourself so you want weapons and costumes or a great sign?
