2012: A Quick Overview

With the Holidays coming to a close, the majority of all gamers are asking one question: What’s coming out in 2012?

Everyone has their preferences, but here is a list of the (currently scheduled) release dates of most major games coming out next year.

January

• January 3rd: Armored Core 5 (PS3, 360) 
• January 24th: Silent Hill HD Collection (PS3, 360) 
• January 31st: Final Fantasy XIII-2 (PS3, 360)

February

• February 7th: The Darkness 2 (PS3, 360, PC) 
  • Inversion (PS3, 360) 
  • Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning (PS3, 360, PC) 
  • Resident Evil: Revilations (3DS) 
• February 14th: Binary Domain (PS3, 360) 
  • Twisted Metal (PS3) 
  • UFC: Undisputed 3 (PS3, 360) 
• February 21st: Syndicate (PS3, 360) 
• February 22nd: Playstation Vita 
• February 28th: SSX (PS3, 360) 

March

• March 6th: Ghost Recon: Future Soldier (PS3, 360, PC, DS)
  • Mass Effect 3 (PS3, 360, PC) 
  • Ridge Racer Unbounded (PS3, 360, PC) 
  • Street Fighter X Tekken (PS3, 360) 
• March 11th: Mario Party 9 (Wii)

April

Now, this may seem like a short list, but remember: This is only everything with a set release date for 2012. Several big names like Max Payne 3, BioShock Infinite, Halo 4, Diablo 3, and Grand Theft Auto V are still penciled in for 2012 at some point.

This also doesn’t account for the release of the Wii U, hopefully coming out at some time in late 2012.

While 2011 was a great year for video games, 2012 is shaping up to be one of the best years for video games in recent memory.
