Sony to end major gamesharing

Big news, come November 18th, Sony is changing its game sharing policies. Game sharing was a great way for a few friends to split the cost of DLC and PSN games. It was something Sony really supported, but I guess times are changing.

Most PS3 downloads and PSP games can be activated on 5 systems. Sony is changing that number to 2. The good news is that any game or content purchased before the November 18th cutoff can still be shared among 5 systems. If its after the 18th, gamers will only be able to share it with two systems.

The only good thing here is that Sony is making it easier to deactivate games by adding a Playstation Network account management website. Previously gamers had to deactivate their games on either a PSP or a PS3.  I sense this change is going to make a lot of people very unhappy.
