Fit to Game: Week 2

PDFPrintE-mail

Valentine's Day kept me from writing on my usual day, and I realized I almost lost my accountability here. So my mini-review is extra short this week to squeeze it in. More detail next week!

Update for this week: Down two more pounds! Got to play a bit more EA, which kicked my butt again. It is a bit overwhelming with all the online connection, but perhaps I will understand it by this time next week and give you a rundown of how it works. Diligence in small meal sizes is what is really helping me, but the gaming is increasing my metabolism, I feel.

Upcoming week will be hard: my birthday, my son's birthday, parties, and my wedding anniversary. All add up to extra food! I've been able to stay diligent on that, though.

Overall, I think the Kinect in general is a great exercise tool. I admittedly tried Wii ones, and figured out how to "fake" them out. Not that I wanted to, but to me it meant that I could do the exercise wrong, and not get the full potential. With the camera looking at you, it really keeps you on your toes. Plus, the online feature, albeit confusing, looks reeeally cool for EA Sports Active 2.

It's definitely an exciting time for gamers looking to get fit! Next week: a rundown of the EA online aspect, and perhaps my first pics on the road to fitness! Anyone brave enough to join in yet??
