Out of all the games to come out in August, Darksiders II has some of the best pre-order bonuses. Hailed as THQ’s lifesaver, this game looks to be a blast to play come August 14. Amazon, Gamestop, and Best Buy have some unique bonuses for gamers who pre-order Darksiders II.
Best Buy is throwing in the Angel of Death pack which is a set of Armon, a pair of scythes and visual effects for Crow and access to the Arguls Tomb DLC when its released. Who doesn’t like doing more damage?
Amazon is offering a few things. Gamers will have access to Arguls Tomb and they will receive the Deadly Despair Pack, which gives Death’s mount a speed boost. Amazon is selling the PC version for $49.99 and is offering an additional 10% off digital download of the game for PC which is $45.
Gamestop is offering the Death Rides Pack, which will let gamers explore more of the game and gather additional loot. Gamers will also get access to Arguls Tomb. Free additional content is always good.
If gamers want to spend the extra money and pre-order the collector’s edition, they will receive a lot of bonuses. Not only will gamers receive the regular bonuses at each retailer, they will also get access to: a Darksiders Comic Book from Dark Horse, an Artbook, a replica Death Mask, Shadow of Death in game bonus, and a digital copy of the soundtrack. All this for $99, it might be worth it.
So the question is, who has the best bonuses? Gamestop is offering more in game content. Amazon is offering a price reduction and Best Buy has the damage and armor. Personally, I'd either get the additional content to explore or save money and purchase the PC digital version for $45.
