Spiderman is back and he is swinging into game systems on Jun 26th to coincide with the movie release on June 28th. As a fan of the first couple of movies I’m intrigued by the new movie and the game. As most gamers know video games based on movies are hit and miss. The good news is there are several pre-order bonuses available for The Amazing Spiderman and unlike most pre-orders, none of them are the same at different retailers.
Walmart has an interesting pre-order bonus. They are offering with the purchase of the game for 360/PS3/Wii two movie tickets to see The Amazing Spiderman. The tickets are up to $20 in value. This could be a good excuse for some gamers to see the movie.
Gamestop is offering some DLC as a pre-order bonus. If gamers pre-order on the PS3/360 they will get access to The Rhino Challenge. Players will get to play as the villain known as Rhino and smash through the city in a timed event. Well, it is better than nothing and who doesn't like smashing things to bits?
Amazon probably has the best pre-order bonus for longtime fans of the series. They are offering with the pre-order of the PS3/360 editions the chance to play as Stan Lee, the creator of Spiderman. Stan Lee has cameoed in almost all the Marvel movies. Gamers will swing through the city as Stan Lee collecting pages from this latest script. Supposedly there is a surprise at the end of Stan Lee’s adventure.
Although none of the pre-order bonuses are amazing each of them has their own appeal. Comic book fans might go for the Rhino or Stan Lee DLC. People who really want to see the movie should snag the Walmart pre-order bonus. The game looks fun and I cannot wait to swing through the streets as Spiderman again.
