Looks like Rockstar is getting gamers pumped up about Max Payne 3, which comes out on May 29th. There is still time to pre-order Rockstar's next big hit. There are some decent pre-order bonuses for consoles, but the real winner this time is PC gamers.
Best Buy is offering the first multiplayer map DLC for free for anyone who pre-orders Max Payne 3 on either the PS3, 360, or PC. Best Buy is also offering a $10-$20 gift card if you are part of their Gamers Club. This isn’t a bad deal and the giftcard is a welcome incentive.
Gamestop is offering early access to the Cemetery Multiplayer Map with any Max Payne 3 pre-orders. Gamestop will also give gamers early access to the Pill Bottle. The Pill Bottle is a loadout item which provides gamers with the capacity to carry extra painkillers helping them survive longer amidst the killing fields of online multiplayer.
Amazon is offering the Deadly Force Burst and Pill Bottle Early Access. The Deadly Force Bursts lets players dish out higher damage with bullets in Max Payne 3’s multiplayer and this is for all versions. Amazon recently sweetened the deal for PC owners. For those PC gamers who pre-order the digital download version of Max Payne 3, Amazon is offering several fantastic bonuses.
Amazon will throw in a downloadable copy of Max Payne 2. On top of the Pill Bottle and Dead Force Burst, gamers will also receive a classic multiplayer character pack that features fan-favorite characters from Max Payne 1 and 2, and the Disorderly Conduct multiplayer weapons pack which includes weapons such as the Hammerhead Shotgun and the Grenade launcher. Could it get better? Oh yes it can. Amazon is also offering $10 in Rockstar gaming credit. Gamers can use this credit on other Rockstar games such as any game in the GTA series, Bully, LA Noire, and a few others. Details about the pre-order through Amazon are here.
Steam is also offering a nice Max Payne 3 pre-order bonus for PC gamers. They have everything Amazon has and in addition, Steam is offering Max Payne 1 and 2 for free. Steam is also throwing in a Max Payne Retro Avatar.
Well this is a tough choice. The PC is the big winner and Amazon and Steam have the best pre-order bonuses. If I had to pick a console version, I'd do the pre-order from Best Buy and get the $20 gift card.
