Options for Pre-Ordering the Vita

psvitaHoping to pre-order the Vita? Well it looks like there are a few bonuses from a few retailers that might sweeten the deal and tempt gamers into taking the plunge.

Target is offering a $20 gift card with the pre-order and free shipping. If you hurry there is a $10 off code TGTGFT2U which you can use at Checkout. It might be time to pick up that Target Red Card and get that 5% off as well. At $249.99 the deal comes out to $239.99 with the $10 off code and a $20 gift card + whatever tax is.  Use the red card and the before tax price is $227 + the $20 GC and that is a decent deal.

The other deal I saw was that gamers can pre-order the Playstation Vita First Edition bundle. You will get the system a week early on February 15th.  The bundle comes with some extras at a higher price point. Its the 3G model of the Vita, with a 4GB memory card, limited edition case, and a downloadable copy of Little Deviants all for $349. That is $50 over the cost of the 3G Vita by itself and a $100 over the wi-fi only model.

Now if I were to break down the bundle... Little Deviants costs $40 by itself, $20 for the memory card, and let’s say $10 for the case. So you are saving $20 on the bundle instead of buying them separately. I guess its up to gamers, if you can’t wait and want the system early then go for it. Personally I think I'll just wait a bit until a really good bundle comes along or I can get the wi-fi model for around $200.
