Nathan Krott, EagleThorn
Hi all, my name is Nathan Krott and I reside in the grand dairy (Up 5% by the way) state of Wisconsin. I am part of the Southern-Eastern part of the state that almost touches the border to Illinios. I am not married and by popular demand, do not have kids. I have been a member of Goozex since April, 2008. I try to use Goozex on a weekly basis. And with that, I quickly realized how much money I actually was saving using the website. I always wanted to have some contribution towards Goozex so I first started off creating signature designs for the forums. Two of my designs have been huge hits among the majority of members. I then started to play more online with fellow Goozers and among these was Cole Burton, another writer for GoozerNation. Cole told me about GoozerNation and I decided this is what I needed to do. That about sums it up how I actually got here. On a personal level, I spend my day going to school followed with work, occasional as it may be, it is still work. My free time is quickly used up when I'm either hanging with friends or playing video games. However, I do participate in sports such as football, basketball, and tennis. Now, as a young-ling I played NES and SNES like many others, but I really wasn't into it at all. Mostly because my parents really didn't care much for video games and the only time I was able to play was the rare arcade visits or the tedious family get togethers where my cousin supplied the SNES. I will honestly say, my rebirth into the industry was getting a playstation 1 for my birthday. We're talking the old fat ones that were awesome in every way possible. My mother had a form of daycare business out of our home so there were always children even younger than me at the time running around, and with that, destruction. So within two years I had 4 PS1's funded by either my mom or the parent of the kid who broke the console. During my PS1 days I remember spending a lot time killing things in FFVII and beating the crap out of people in Tekken 2. In addition, spending countlss hours of playing against my three older brothers in NFL Blitz. Years later when the PS2 came out I quickly got hands upon one and got sucked into video games even more. Even with no resale value what so ever, I bought every single Madden and NCAA game that came out each year. This was also when I stepped into the genre of "open world" games, aka GTA. I really enjoyed the Grand Theft Auto games a lot on the PS2 and now have a weird desire to get them all on Goozex this very instant for nostalgic value. You can probably assume that I purchased a PS3. You'd be correct and by no means am I a fan boy; I just seem to think Sony has treated me well and I should return the favor. Since my purchase of a release PS3, I have enjoyed the Resistance series, Uncharted Series, and Call of Duty series. Now to finally end this insanity of a biography, I truly hope this opportunity to write for GoozerNation is a good one and hope for the best for the future of GoozerNation.
