MW2 Glitches Sets Stage for Halo Reach Dominance

We all know that Modern Warfare 2 set all kinds of prestigious records in terms of sales. We also know that it is currently the reigning champ of Xbox Live. However, Bungie is sitting in the number 2 spot, just waiting.

Meanwhile, the fame and fortune of MW2 brought with it the hackers. And it's the hackers that are grabbing the headlines now. The multiplayer experience of MW2 has become more of a hacker's paradise than a fun, competitive experience. As FourZeroTwo tweets about updates and fixes, the immediate response comes back: care packages are still flying across the maps at alarming rates.

ODST was a major letdown on several levels. The single player campaign was miserably short and lackluster. And the title sits at the bottom of the Xbox Live top-played games list. The only thing it has going for it is the beta code for Reach.

The next upcoming FPS is Battlefield Bad Company 2. If history has taught us anything, the game will be fun, but not stellar. It's a good bet that Bad Company 2 will enter the Top 5 list for a few months; it's also a good bet that the game won't give Halo or MW2 a challenge for the top 2 spots.
