Kelli Lenae, ArQuesta

To get this introduction started we'll start with my name: Kelli Lenae. I'm a female gamer which, when I was younger, made me a nerd but I guess now I'm kind of cool. Go figure. I've experienced the gaming realm in fantastic bursts of life events. I was very into the structure and elements of gaming as a profession when I was in Los Angeles during my mistaken desire to work in the gaming industry. It only took a year and a large chunk of student loan debt to teach me that I definitely don't want to be part of gaming from that angle. Being a game developer or even a gaming publisher is hard, depressingly-repetitive work and it was not something that I enjoyed being part of.

My next experiment with being part of the gaming industry was when I worked retail during the years of my life when I figured I didn't really need a college degree. Haha! I didn't terribly mind working game sales, but I never, ever played games during those years. The best thing that's happened to me recently is when, after some fantastic retail drama, I was fired and I went back to school. Since then I've been a gaming nut and, with my army of current generation gaming systems, I've marched forth towards the gamers' Valhalla. I finally discovered my nook in the gaming world in writing gaming articles, this aspect of gaming is something I can wholeheartedly participate in and I'm glad to be on GoozerNation.

As I've gotten older my reservations and various fan allegiances have all but disappeared. Because of this I can pretty much play anything without complaining about it not pertaining to my tastes. This has opened up my gaming spectrum quite a bit. My life, currently, consists of working, school and the bits of game time I squeeze in. Though I have quite a few other hobbies my desire to be one of the "hardcore" in the gaming community makes me strive to play just about everything. I hope everyone at GoozerNation enjoys the articles and reviews I write because I'm going to cram as much honest critique into them as possible!
