Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Slightly Preferred Over MW2

Ah yes, the highly anticipated sequel to Battlefield: Bad Company is finally here. It's about time we get a follow up to the great, Bad Company. But there is one question I'm sure many of you want to know, how does it compare to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2? Let's find out.

Bad Company 2's Campaign starts back in WWII as they show us what really happened. You start in a boat that is following another squad in a boat. The Japanese soon discovers the other squad and mows them down, and then they come for your squad. Everyone jumps overboard and loses their weapons; you are left with nothing but a knife. After one stealth kill, you can kiss that tactical knife goodbye. You will once again have a gun.

But you don't really want to hear all of that, now do you? No, you want to hear about our good old squad consisting of Sarge, Haggard, Sweetwater, and Marlowe (the player). You guys are still getting along the same as in BF:BC, but are soon offered a deal that could change everything. Everybody gets to go home if the mission goes well. So far, that's about all I know about the campaign, the story does progress quite slowly. However, the action is great. You can destroy whole buildings, destroy fractions of buildings, drive vehicles, and about everything else you would expect from our crazy heroes.

The multiplayer has three modes. There is squad team deathmatch, rush, and conquest. Squad team deathmatch is of course, just a team vs. team game. Rush is just like the BF:BC game type in which you plant and defuse charges. Then, there's conquest, which is a capture the flag game type.

When comparing the multiplayer mode of MW2 and BC2 I must say that both are good, but I do slightly prefer BC2. However, don't be fooled, BC2 is not a game you want to miss. You should keep in mind that the DLC will be expensive and if you buy the game new it will be free. Plus, the limited edition comes with six free MP unlocks, and the limited is the same price as the normal.
