ave you ever had one of those days when you just can't decide what you want to play? "Eh, I kinda want some RPG action, with maybe a little fantasy thrown in, but with GIANT ROBOTS!" Yeah, right--like that's going to happen. Might as well just pack up those controllers and trade them in for books (you know, those rectangular paper objects with words all over them collecting dust on your shelf?) cause you are never going to find one game to satisfy all that. But wait! What's this?!? *Street Magician AveryZoe magically pulls from behind your ear...Mechquest!*

mechquest (29K) What is MechQuest? Well, first of all--it's free! (Kind of a requirement with the whole "Friday Freebies" thing). MechQuest is perfect for those days when you don't really want a game--you want 3 or 4 games smashed into a blender, pureed for 30 seconds, and then poured into a tall glass of gaming heaven. It really is robots, and fantasy, and RPG...let BattleOn Games explain it for you, "MechQuest is a FREE browser-based fantasy giant destructive war machine battle game. Sound fun? You bet! Heavily inspired by the art from every mecha & giant robot series ever created (and we are throwing in magic and laser swords too!) we will be putting a true 'Anything Goes' build and battle 'Lunchbreak-sized' game. Keep your holivids tuned in for more... *Bizzzzzzipwhip...kccccht!*"

Just like most RPG's, you choose a character, which you can then fight with, level up, costume, and arm in whichever fashion you see fit. It's a great departure from your standard "have sword, will fight" RPG game. If you're looking for something that's a little different but still familiar and comfy at the same time, this is your game. Another great feature is that the content and quests are updated regularly, so there's always something new. As with most online games, there is an option to "upgrade"--pay money to get completely unnecessary items that help you feel superior--but it is in no way required.

Come on, guys! It's Friday--what are you working for? Fire up the blender and get ready for some gaming heaven--robot style!
