Balloons! Everybody loves balloons! Unless you're a terrorist. Terrorists hate balloons, and that's just evil. Are you a terrorist? No? Great, cause you're gonna love Bloons! And guess what? It's free! Take that, terrorists!

bloons (8K) What is Bloons? According to NinjaKiwi, "Bloons is based on the very simple fact that popping balloons is fun." Yes, you too can pop balloons on your computer--and you don't even have to blow them up first. There you go--the best game ever. What do you mean, you're not convinced? Are you sure you're not a terrorist? Okay, well there is a bit more to it than just popping the balloons.

First off, you are a monkey. (Why? I don't know. Perhaps monkeys have some inherent loathing for balloons that I am unaware of). You only have a certain number of darts per level, and extras do not carry over to the next level. Bloons is a puzzle game, so you even get to use your brain a little. You have to aim carefully for maximum poppage, and the longer you hold down the button the farther your dart will fly. Hold to long and you may fly right over the top of the balloons. Don't hold it long enough, and it may fly underneath them, taunting you as it falls to the ground. (Okay, not really--but if you want, I can come taunt you instead).

Bloons is an addictive game merely because it is simple. You aim and shoot, popping all those colorful balloons like a naughty kid at a birthday party. There are 50 different levels of multicolored balloon goodness, each one a new configuration for you to solve with the least darts possible. Better yet, if you like this game you can move on to the Bloons Tower Defense games once you finish this one. Same concept, only with tower defense. Genius. Oh, and also free. So what are you waiting for? It's Friday--you aren't getting anything done at work anyway, and the boss left hours ago. Rotate your monitor a cool 45 degrees away from the nosy guy in the next cubicle and fire up some Bloons.
