My Name Is Amy, And I Love Rock Band
My name is Amy Nelson, and you want to be me. Why? you ask. Well, where do I begin? I live in the glamorous state of North Dakota, born and raised. Believe or not, I am writing this from an actual computer, with Internet access even! Not a horse-drawn carriage in site! Despite the cliches, North Dakota is actually a pretty cool place to live. I currently reside in Bismarck, the capital, with my husband who is a programmer by day and by night he provides free IT support for anyone who's ever met him.
Together we have 5 children, ages 11, 9, 5, 3, and 1. We have always been a gaming family, and one of the favorite games around here (both personally and as a group) is Tetris. I kicked butt at tetris when I was 12, and I am not afraid to bring out the skills now either. Another all-time favorite is anything Zelda related. Like Tetris, this has had almost continuous play at our house for decades. As my final all-time favorite choice, I've got throw Worms out there. For some reason, this relatively low-tech game has always had the power to keep us occupied for hours on end.
As for a day job, keeping five children from burning my house down has kept me a little too busy to fit one of those in for the last year or so. I have been doing book reviews for our local paper and an occasional magazine article. I am enjoying working with the fine people at The Goozex Report thus far, and hope to continue to provide my humble perspective to anyone who cares.
